Billie Eillish - Bury a Friend According to a January 2019  Alternate Press  article, “bury a friend” is written from the perspective of a monster under Billie Eilish’s bed. The track details a confusing relationship with this ‘entity’ and ambiguously sets her up to be the monster itself. A snippet of “bury a friend” was teased by Eilish on her  Instagram page , as well as on  Twitter  and  YouTube , on January 28, 2019. The visual depicts Billie’s face being grabbed by several gloved hands that reach in from off screen, until the closing lyrics and album title are displayed.
